  3. I've got a problem which seems to me quite strange.
  4. We're having an Ethernet connected to a Linux gateway, which connects
  5. us over slip tp the local Computer Center. When I'm using clients
  6. like Gopher, Mosaic or Cello the transfer rate is the best the modem
  7. get give to me. But when I'm trying to use the plain WinQVT Telnet to
  8. connect directly to the Computer Centre the transfer rate goes down
  9. to a nontolerable rate. To make it more weird, if I telnet first to the 
  10. local Gateway and then telnet over slip to the Computer Centre, I get a 
  11. perfect transfer rate. Has anybody any idea on this topic???
